I use canned tomato sauce for my pasta sauce. I boil the jars, seal them. Is it necessary to add the lemon juice to keep on my right sauce?

Freeze.

Normally, tomatoes and sour, and require no further for nature conservation. I suggest freezing it is easier and less risky, no quality problems. Use freezer bags one gallons, put them in a bowl with the same size and spoon into the sauce. Seal and freeze hit.
